I'm glad that it assembles a wide range of opinions from people on both sides of the fence. Even though the article says that the art world is divided, the opinions presented here do a good job of showing the various reasons people are for or against the removal of "Open Casket."
Thanks for posting! I think the most important thing here is the point of listening. Once again I know this is a hard line to walk, or maybe not even a line at all, but I think that having instances such as this that provide a backdrop are important. Whether intentionally or not, it serves as something to speak up about (positively or negatively). It has a provided something for people to push against, but it can only come to strong fruition if we are listening to those issues. Such a controversy can be viewed positively in my opinion because it gives us the chance to listen, we just have to take that opportunity.
